Dance With Me

The Lord your God in your midst,
The Mighty One, will save;
He will rejoice over you with gladness,
He will quiet you with His love,
He will rejoice over you with singing.” Zephaniah 3:17

During the night, I “heard” the song Dance With Me by Orleans playing over me. I haven’t heard this secular song in years, so this morning I looked up the lyrics. With the exception of a few phrases, it really spoke to me in a Song of Solomon, spiritual kind of way.

Dance With Me by Orleans

Dance with me, I want to be your partner
Can’t you see the music is just starting?
Night is Falling, and I am Calling
Dance with me

Fantasy could never be so killing
I feel free, I hope that you are willing
Pick the beat up, and kick your feet up
Dance with me

Let it lift you off the ground
Starry eyes, and love is all around
I can take you where you want to go

Dance with me, I want to be your partner
Can’t you see the music is just starting?
Night is Falling, and I am Calling
Dance with me

Let it lift you off the ground
Starry eyes, and love is all around
I can take you where you want to go

Dance with me, I want to be your partner
Can’t you see the music is just starting?
Night is Falling, and I am Calling
Dance with me

Dance with me

Dance with me

Dance with me

In Song of Solomon fashion, my spirit responded with another song by the same title Dance With Me as sung by Jesus Culture .

Dance With Me

Has a secular song ever touched you? If so, which one?
