Praying the Word Ephesians Prayer

Prayers to pray daily

Ephesians Prayer ~ Authority

Lord, I accept Your gracious word. I believe what Your word says in Ephesians 2 – that even though I was dead in my sin, because of Your great love and mercy toward me, You raised me from the dead along with Christ, and seated me beside You in the heavenly sphere because of my relationship with Jesus, the anointed one.

In humble faith, I now take my seat in the heavenly realm at Your right hand. Teach me how to fulfill this sacred ministry, how to exercise the authority which You have entrusted to me. Train me day by day that I may attain to the full stature of the perfect man in Christ so that in me Your purpose of the ages may be fulfilled. Amen. (From a prayer by Billye Brim based on Ephesians 2:5-6)

Ephesians Prayer For Wisdom and Understanding

I ask You, God, the glorious Father of my Lord Jesus Christ, to give to me (and my spouse) spiritual wisdom and insight so that we might grow in our knowledge of You, God. I pray that our hearts will be flooded with light so that we can understand the confident hope You have given to those You called—Your holy people who are Your rich and glorious inheritance.

I also ask that we will understand the incredible greatness of Your power for us who believe You—the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at Your right hand in the heavenly realms. I believe He is far above any ruler or authority or power or leader or anything else—not only in this world but also in the world to come. You have put all things under the authority of Christ, and You have made Him head over all things for the benefit of the church. And the church is Christ’s body; it is made full and complete by Christ, who fills all things everywhere with Himself. (Based on Ephesians 1:18-23)
