Wouldn’t it be nice to know the future for ourselves and our families?
Our cities, our states, our nations?
While we’re at it, how about our continents, our hemispheres, our planet and the universe?
The topic of global warming/climate change sparks predictions, speculation and sometimes heated debates.
Meteorologists, sports’ enthusiasts, financial and real estate analysts, stock traders, gamblers use scientific data and models or personal intuition.
Sadly, their services produce unreliable results.
Decision-making sure would be easier if we actually knew the outcome ahead of time.

4. 2 Peter 1:19–21 Beginning in verse 16, Peter reminds the reader…
he was an eyewitness when God’s glory descended on Jesus at the mount of transfiguration and they heard God’s voice saying, “This My Beloved Son in Whom I am well pleased.” AMP
“The main thing to keep in mind here is that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of private opinion. And why? Because it’s not something concocted in the human heart. Prophecy resulted when the Holy Spirit prompted men and women to speak God’s Word.” The Message
Scriptural prophecy is not the result of consulting a source other than the Holy Spirit.
5. John 13:19 Jesus speaks to His disciples after washing their feet
“I’m telling you all this ahead of time so that when it happens you will believe that I am who I say I am.” The Message
Jesus knew they might be tempted to doubt and scatter after His death and burial. As they recalled all the things He did and said, they would overcome doubt.
It’s so awesome that Jesus dealt with their future challenge before it happened. Further evidence He is the Good Shepherd.
The following verse comes to mind:
“For the Lord God does nothing
without revealing his secret
to his servants the prophets.” Amos 3:7
In this instance, Jesus reveals why He carefully fulfilled all the Father’s instructions—not just a sign for his disciples, his followers, or the Jews, but for the world.
