Revelation Lesson 15 Day 5 Seventh Trumpet

Revelation 11:15-19

Revelation 11:15-19

11.  The seventh angel blew the seventh trumpet

When the seventh trumpet sounded, a crescendo of voices in Heaven sang out,

“The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he shall reign forever and ever.” ESV

The twenty-four heavenly elders fell face downward and worshiped God saying,

“We give thanks to you, Lord God Almighty,
who is and who was,
for you have taken your great power
and begun to reign.
The nations raged,
but your wrath came,
and the time for the dead to be judged,
and for rewarding your servants, the prophets and saints,
and those who fear your name,
both small and great,
and for destroying the destroyers of the earth.” ESV

Although I don’t respond with such eloquence, I do know all good gifts and favor come from the Lord God Almighty. I thank Him, praise Him, and honor Him.

12.  Rev 11:18

The judged:

  • The nations
  • The dead
  • The destroyers of the land will be destroyed.

The rewarded:

  • All God’s servants and the prophets
  • All God’s servants from the least to the greatest

Other scriptures about those who will be rewarded:

The Lord rewards every man for his righteousness and his faithfulness, for the Lord gave you into my hand today, and I would not put out my hand against the Lord’s anointed. 1 Samuel 26:23 ESV

Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. Whoever receives you receives me, and whoever receives me receives him who sent me.

The one who receives a prophet because he is a prophet will receive a prophet’s reward, and the one who receives a righteous person because he is a righteous person will receive a righteous person’s reward.

And whoever gives one of these little ones even a cup of cold water because he is a disciple, truly, I say to you, he will by no means lose his reward. (Jesus) Matthew 10:39-41 ESV

And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him. Hebrews 11:6 ESV

13.  I’m encouraged and excited because my God is—

  • All-powerful
  • Omnipotent (unlimited power)
  • Holy
  • Righteous Judge
  • Faithful
  • Merciful
  • Beautiful beyond description
  • Too marvelous for my vocabulary
  • Hears our prayers
  • Intimately concerned about us as nations, races, tribes, families, and individuals
  • Defender of the weak
  • All that and more

He lives up to His Name – Almighty God!
