In the Presence of My Enemies

He prepares a table before us in the presence of our enemies. Ps. 23:5a

Is it an empty table? I’m sure it isn’t. So what is on it?

Bowls of fear and worry? Sickness and disease? Discouragement? Doubt?

I think not.

Victory? Health? Provision? Joy? Encouragement? Peace?

Certainly.

As long as we sit at HIS table, we are only “in the presence” of our enemies – they can’t touch us. We should enjoy the feast and heap coals of fire on our enemy. If we cast our cares on Jesus, we are free to relax and enjoy.

I would like a another helping of peace, please.
